Bressi has served as an in-house cultural planning consultant for Montgomery County to help their Arts and Humanities Council prepare for the creation of a new cultural plan. This plan update is greatly needed considering that the last version was adopted more than 20 years ago, before the county experienced incredible population growth and demographic change, and some of the main ideas behind cultural planning changed as well. More can be read about this work, which has involved two years of research, creating a white paper based off of said research, and selecting a consultant to complete the plan, here.

In creating its general plan that looks out to the year 2040, the city of Hollister hired Bressi to draft the arts and culture section, which is based on the recognition that creative activities in Hollister are intertwined with how citizens live out their daily lives. The inclusion of this section made Hollister one of the first cities in California to explicitly address arts and culture in such a major way in their general plan. More information about this part of the plan can be found here, and the city’s overall webpage for their plan update can be found here.

The decades-old Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail is one of Austin’s most beloved public spaces. To guide their efforts as they seek to improve the trail and provide more programming along it, The Trail Conservancy, which manages the space, commissioned an arts and culture plan for the trail that was led by Bressi. More information about the process can be found here, and the plan itself can be found here.
